Licensing and Attribution

Formalize collaborates with ISO and operates under a formal license agreement with the Asociación Española de Normalización (UNE), official ISO representative. Under this agreement, Formalize is authorized to reproduce and process specific standards from UNE, ISO (International Organization for Standardization), and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) within Formalize.

The ISO and IEC standards included as part of your service agreement with Formalize, including specific requirements, clauses, controls, and guidance documentation, are reproduced under this official license. This license applies to all licensed content accessed within the Formalize as well as any authorized downloads or exports of the content generated from Formalize.

Accuracy and Integrity of Content

Users are advised that any editing, modification, or customization of the licensed content within the platform is performed at the user's own risk. Such actions may affect the integrity, accuracy, and validity of the original standardized text.

Formalize provides this content for internal operational use, and it might not contain the full wording of the standard. For the complete, unabridged, and authoritative version of any standard, users should consult the versions available through their national provider of ISO standards.

Language and Translations

In accordance with our licensing obligations:

Versions provided in English, Spanish, and French are considered official translations.

Content provided in any other language is an unofficial translation. In the event of any discrepancy or ambiguity, the official translation of the standard in its original language shall prevail.

Intellectual Property and Usage Restrictions

All ISO and IEC standards are protected by copyright. This license extends to any content accessed within the Formalize environment or downloaded therefrom. Users are subject to the following restrictions:

Authorized Use Only: Users may not redistribute, sell, or share this content (including any downloaded or exported versions) with third parties outside of the subscribing organization.

No Derivative Databases: Users are prohibited from using the licensed content to create external databases or commercial products that compete with the licensed works of ISO or IEC.

Intellectual Property Protection: Users may not use the content in any manner that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of ISO or IEC.
